TOH Keyboard for Jolla phone - demo video

QWERTY Keyboard coming up for Jolla phone in few months

On last October, an interesting community project started - TOHKBD was launched on Kickstarter

The crowdfunding was a great success with goal reached in 7 hours and in the end, more than 1100 pieces pre-ordered. Now it's time for an update, check the latest photos and video:

Some of these great community guys - Dirk van Leersum, Andrew Zhilin or Kimmo Lindholm - must have be working like 24/7 for a while.

The TOHKBD project, aiming to deliver more than 1100 Qwerty keyboard smart covers for Jolla phone owners in April 2015, has taken some steps forward during the past months. We're already looking forward to get our hands on the prototype in few weeks at Barcelona, where Dirk and Andrew are joining the MWC15 event.

Here's the latest photos with just one sweet color option, and below you'll also find a demo video by Dirk, and the plans for the following weeks

Note on a video: It is also possible to hide the virtual keyboard, visible on Jolla's display, with a simple menu selection

  • 16Feb to 20Feb - soldering large-ish batch of keyboard PCBs
  • 2Mar to 6 Mar - ordering A LOT of prints, keypads, and PCBs
  • 9Mar to 13 Mar - sending 'protos' to Hero, 400's, developers and Jolla
  • 16Mar to .... - production
